Ms. Marissa (Speech Room A112)
Hello and Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!
About me: I am a new SLP here at The Shore Center and extremely excited to start this school year! I am a recent graduate from Monmouth University, where I obtained my master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. I have previous experience working with student's with a wide variety of communication disorders, however primarily students on the Autism Spectrum. In addition, I also have educational and clinical experience in acute rehab working with adults with cognitive-linguistic disorders, as well as dysphagia (swallowing disorders), secondary to traumatic brain injury and stroke. When I am not at The Shore Center, I facilitate a social skills group for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and coach a high school girls volleyball team. Some of my favorite activties are playing volleyball, running, crafting, and spending time with family/friends. This is my first year at The Shore Center and I am looking forward to helping improve my students overall communication skills. I am thrilled to be working with your children!
