Proctor, Christina
My name is Christina Proctor, and I am proud to be on the teaching staff at The Shore Center!
I have a deep-seated passion for advocating for children and families with disabilities.
I began my educational career as a paraprofessional for many years and went on to complete dual certification to teach both General and Special Education. As a committed educator, I obtained a Master's degree in Education, with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB). After completion, I earned certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), becoming a BCBA.
With over 20 years of experience working with individuals with special needs and on the Autism Spectrum, I have worked in various settings, including public and private schools, as well as home and clinic-based programs, from early intervention to adulthood.
Due to my diverse professional experiences and my own firsthand experiences with having family members on the spectrum, I decided to further my career as an advocate at a Special needs law firm for almost two years, prior to joining The Shore Center.
When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my family, my three French Bulldogs, competing on the softball field, or volunteering my time for various non-profit organizations that assist families of those with special needs and those who are homeless and disenfranchised.
I am looking forward to another amazing year working together to ensure the success of all the students.
Please feel free to reach out if I can be of any assistance!
