Who We Are
The Shore Center for Students with Autism, a program of the Bayshore Jointure Commission, is a New Jersey public school placement for students with special needs. Although the foundation of our program is Verbal Behavior, the staff at The Shore Center is fully trained in implementing general education curriculum in all academic content areas aligned with the New Jersey Core Content Standards (NJCCCS) and the Core Content Standards (CCS).
While implementing general education curriculum we ensure that the needs of all the individual students are met by giving each student the necessary modifications and accommodations. Additionally, each lesson is differentiated in order to address the various learning levels in each classroom.
